TIMELINE

There will be food trucks and a few other vendors offering lunch options and goodies for purchase. Please bring a reusable water bottle as we will have free water refill stations available

11:30am – Signup for events. Open lei making/hair piece bar at the shop

Ti leaf racing area will be open to anyone who wants to time themselves or race each other. This will go on throughout the day.

12:00pm – Welcome, continue making a lei or flower hair piece.

12:30 – Plant talk featuring Russell Galanti and Dr. Joanna Bloese on a quick overview of the floriculture industry on our island. Followed with a question-and-answer session.

1:00 – Team competition groups formed (at random based on who signed up) Each team will have a ½ hour to brainstorm.

1:30 – Team event starts, it will be held in the main tent for any spectators to watch and cheer. Ti leaf racing will also still be open. We encourage everyone to mingle and enjoy some live music.

2:30 – Team event ends, continued mingling, live music and talking amongst each other about the state of our industry

3:00 – Finale on the ti leaf racing

4:00 – Announce winners for all contests.

5:00 – Get ready for the Honoka’a Business Association fashion show featuring clothing from local businesses and show casing the flower creations made during the competitions throughout the day.

6:00 – Fashion show wraps up. All pau.
